Roland DGA Corp. extends its Eco-SOL MAX certified media line to support the VersaStudio BN-20 metallic desktop inkjet printer/cutter. Twenty-in.-wide rolls are available in a range of stocks, including matte and glossy calendered vinyl, a heat transfer solution, and both adhesive-backed and non-adhesive solvent glossy paper.
Andrew Oransky, director of marketing and product management for Roland DGA Corp., notes that the new adhesive-backed solvent glossy paper can be an excellent solution for labeling because it is specifically designed to be contour cut.
The VersaStudio printing/cutting system features CMYK and metallic silver ink, VersaWorks RIP software, and inline contour cutting for finished graphics of virtually any shape. The new rollstock line features:
Matte and Glossy Calendered Vinyl - ESM-MCVP and ESM-GCVP
Backed with a permanent adhesive, these high-quality 3 mil vinyl products support a range of indoor and outdoor applications, including signs, labels, decals, POP, vehicle and floor graphics, and wraps of all kinds. MCVP and GCVP image well in a variety of print modes.
HeatSoft Transfer Paper and Mask - ESM-HTM2 and PGM-PTM
Roland’s HeatSoft solution includes a 1.7 mil synthetic fabric transfer material and 3 mil polyester transfer mask with a specially formulated heat resistant adhesive. Together, these products produce high-resolution full-color heat transfers with excellent opacity and white point characteristics.
Solvent Glossy Paper with Adhesive - ESM-SGPA
The adhesive-backed paper is designed for both printing and contour cutting, SGPA is ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications. A special coating optimizes this 135 gsm solvent glossy paper for eco-solvent printing, and its permanent, water-based acrylic adhesive is backed with a silicone treated release liner for easy handling through the finishing process. SGPA delivers a superior white point and gloss level and is multicoated for water and scratch resistance.
Solvent Glossy Paper – ESM-SGP3
A heavy-weight paper with an advanced inkjet receptive coating, SGP3 is designed for high-resolution full-color printing, offering excellent opacity and white point characteristics. The coating is designed to image well while reducing ink consumption. In addition to a gloss finish on the coated side, SGP3 has a durable glossy base sheet that stabilizes the product throughout production.
