In 2006, the former EUROPEAN ASSOCIATION OF ALUMINIUM AEROSOL CONTAINER MANUFACTURERS— AEROBAL—marked its 30th anniversary by transforming into an international organization. AEROBAL now represents 10 international aluminum aerosol can producers running 20 production plants in Europe, North America, South America and Asia, which account for about 75% of industry production. The association’s activities focus on representation of this international industry, supply of statistics and market information, monitoring international legislation, monitoring standardization, and public relations. www.aerobal.org

Can on the Market
Aquafresh
By: Tubex (Germany)
The first-in-category Aquafresh aerosol can is easy to use for efficient and hygienic dispensing. Glazing printing inks are employed to lend the brushed aerosol can its special metallic effects. The “rays” were created with two intermingled white tones, and the bare aluminum sparkles out from the toothpaste. One technological innovation that is invisible for consumers is a powder protection coating located inside the can. This coating aids in serial production, is free of solvents, is highly economical, and promotes sustainability. No subsequent afterburning is required, so no CO2 emissions are generated.

Profile and Grips Aerosol Can
By: Tubex (Germany)
The printing on this shaped, embossed can is aligned with the rounded-bottom oval can and the embossment with the printed image. The ergonomic and innovative oval design of this aerosol container is a synonym for high tech. The on-line embossment, which can extend over the entire surface of the can, creates a completely new, unmistakable tactile feel.
