The Mexican Packaging Association (AMEE) represents the Mexican packaging industry in an impartial and non–profit way in order to support, promote, and protect the industry. AMEE has a membership of almost 80 companies and is recognized by national and international organizations as the professional association that has brought together the most important packaging manufacturers of Mexico. Besides the packaging contest, yearly activities include a national congress, technical seminars, standardization programs, a statistical yearbook, and educational outreach.

The complex, handcrafted glass bottle features elegant, curved lines, and a special-edition collar. Each bottle comes in an elegant oak box trimmed with leather. This entry also was recognized with the Export Packaging Award.

The decoration was a challenge because of the wide contours of the area where the serigraphy is applied, as well as the thin lines of the finely detailed art. The dark purple color adds a touch of elegance and mystery to the bottle, giving continuity with the diamond-like lid.

Philadelphia Slices Peel & Reseal

The “Peel & Reseal” feature, consisting of a pressure-sensitive adhesive applied between lamination layers around the pre-cut opening, enables the package to be opened and closed about 16 times in refrigeration. A two-piece, tamper-evident warranty seal lets consumer verify that the product has not been opened.

Made of 18-pt white kraft board, this reported first-of-its-kind double container feeds two different tissues that are kept apart by an internal separator integrated into the body of the box. Use indicators on the outside of the package show consumption of the tissues.

The stand-up pouch design reduces consumption of plastic compared to traditional plastic bottles. This packaging helps the environment with its lower volume of polyethylene in the waste stream and its smaller energy consumption throughout the value chain.

Used for the first time in Mexico, the tactile ink produces raised points that can be felt when picking up the can. By creating an effect similar to condensation, the tiny dots also give the surface a refreshing image and let the brand be recognized through the sense of touch.
