Custom label manufacturer Advanced Labels NW purchases its first HP Indigo WS6000 digital offset printing press. The company chose to install a HP Indigo, coupled with the HP Smart Stream Labels and Packaging Print Server and ABG Digicon series 2 finishing press, because of client demand for digital- and hybrid-printing capabilities and the press manufacturer’s ability to meet those demands.
"We believe the time is now to pursue high resolution digital offset as a solution for our new and existing clients who have come to expect high quality printing and increased speed to market," says Kevin Davis company president and founder. "HP has truly opened our eyes to the many benefits of merging digital offset technology with conventional flexo printing and as well as a much needed addition to our rapidly growing business and client expectations. “
In his search for the right type of finishing equipment for the new press, Davis chose ABG Graphic International’s Digicon Series 2 solution to round out and fulfill their needs to offer all the finishing treatments they currently utilize on their flexo presses. In doing so, Davis has outfitted Advanced Label's finishing line with flat-bed hot stamping and embossing, semi-rotary die cutting and embossing, cold foil and lamination as well as multiple print and varnish treatment stations.
With the addition of the HP 6000 digital offset press and the AB Graphic finishing line in place, Advanced Labels has taken the next step in its plans to further expand and enhance their already extensive label packaging capabilities.
