Delacre, one of United Biscuits' leading confectionery brands, recently launched a promotional Spiderman tin for its Délichoc brand in France. Developed in cooperation with CROWN Speciality Packaging, a business unit of Crown Holdings Inc., the biscuit tins were part of an exclusive and successful promotion for Carrefour supermarkets in France.
"Crown's highly graphical tin marks a distinct departure from our traditional biscuit packaging," says Annabelle Millet, United Biscuits representative. "We wanted to offer our target audience—families with children—a fun, delicious and reusable keepsake to remind them of their favorite superhero. We're thrilled with the success."
The tin was decorated using high-quality lithography. To further tie it to the film, the graphic tin features a removable lid that shows Spiderman and the movie name in France and Belgium, along with its summer release date in France.
"This is a really great package that associates the Delacre brand with something fun and exciting," adds François-Xavier Vannini, marketing executive at Crown Speciality Packaging. "Quality printing of the vivid color graphics was an essential element to the success of the design."
