Embossed Glass Bottle
This glass bottle for Rich & Rare, a new upper-shelf whisky features a scalloped neck and wheat embossing. The extra details give the package depth, dimension and the taller and thinner bottle profile takes full advantage of top-shelf merchandising.

Biopolymer Lined Multi-layer Bags and Pouches
This FDA human-grade compliant and eco-friendly line of pet food packaging is 100% compostable and made from U.S. based renewable plant resources (paper, water-based adhesive and a biopolymer sealant layer). It contains EarthFirst PLA film made with Ingeo.

Lidding Film
Toray’s environment-friendly, solvent-free, value-added clear, white and metallized LumiLid lidding films are designed to deliver a secure seal and an easy, clean peel, which gives consumers a positive product experience. The printable film affords more space for a brand message. Applications include packaging of meat, produce, dairy items, refrigerated and frozen foods, puddings, applesauce, desserts, wet and dry foods, and specialty items.

Paperboard Prescription Slider
Ecoslide-RX is a child-resistant yet senior-friendly package made from 100% recyclable material. The compliance carton contains no plastic in its secondary packaging and uses the minimal film-to-foil ratio to maintain its F=1 child resistant rating.

All-plastic Trigger
MWV’s VersaPlast is an all-plastic trigger sprayer that reduces environmental impact by lowing resin amounts and is lighter weight when compared to many traditional sprayers on the market.

Eco-friendly Label Facestock
Labeltronix Eco-friendly Facestocks are made up of 30% to 100% post-consumer waste. Products include a 100% post-consumer waste, recycled uncoated litho label, an embossing certified material and a wet-strength facesheet.

Shrink Sleeve Labels
Sealed Air’s Cryovac LT-1 shrink sleeve labels provide 360-deg, form-fitting bottle coverage. Among the industry’s first shrink sleeves with a density less than the PET recycling standard, Cryovac LT-1 labels easily separate during recycling, enabling easier recycling of PET bottles. Additionally, Cryovac reports that its LT-1 shrink sleeve labels feature a source reduction of up to 30% compared to other monolayer labels.

Recycled Paper Stock
GTree is a premium bright white paper stock made from 100% post-consumer recycled fiber that offers an attractive wet appearance after ice bucket submersion. GTree offers consistent application in high speed bottling applications and is available in both pressure sensitive and cold glue stocks.

Post-consumer Regrind Packages
These plastic bottles and jars are made from post-consumer regrind (PCR) at levels between 25% to 100% in PET and high-density polyethylene. The company says PCR manufacturing conserves energy and non-renewable resources as recycling replaces the need for primary extraction and the manufacture of new plastics.

Sustainable Caps for Carton Packaging
Tetra Pak’s LightCap 30, is a high-density polyethylene cap made from sugar cane. The renewable polyethylene used in LightCap 30 starts out as sugar cane, which is crushed, fermented and distilled to produce ethanol. The ethanol is then converted into ethylene, which is then polymerized to produce the polyethylene used to manufacture the cap.

Life-cycle Analysis Software
The SavvyPack Software is a cloud application accessed through the Allied Development website. It’s offered as part of the company’s analysis service.

Web-based LCA Tool
PIQET is a streamlined life-cycle assessment tool licensed through the Sustainable Packaging Alliance. The product, a web-based business tool used for rapid packaging environmental impact assessments, is used to optimize packaging system design from a sustainability perspective in all stages of the product development process.
