Specialty packaging manufacturer J.L. Clark has launched a new digital printing capability for the production of custom decorated metal containers in small quantities. With installation of an advanced new four-color digital printing press, J.L. Clark now enables manufacturers to take advantage of all the benefits of J.L. Clark's highly decorative, 100% recyclable metal containers, but in much smaller quantities than would normally be considered cost-effective.

According to J.L. Clark Vice President, sales and marketing Michael Matus, The new press will now make metal containers an extremely attractive packaging alternative for the widest possible range of applications. "Until now, it simply wasn't economical for customers to package their products in metal containers when the quantities were particularly small," says Matus. "Now, our digital press allows fast, economical production of a full array of metal containers-round, rectangular, square-with a variety of features, and with full color decoration like that of conventional metal lithography."

Full color decoration, in quantities as low as 500, is now available on over 30 structure types. In addition, J.L. Clark also offers its Add-Pak™ service, enabling customers to select from a full range of value-added services such as filling, shrink banding, date code and drop shipping.
