More than 6,000 visitors, representing 62 countries, attended the 24th edition of Luxe Pack Monaco. The show company also reports that more than 70% of the 6,355 visitors were packaging decision-makers.
The record-breaking attendance is an 11% increase from the 2010 show. These attendees saw a range of packaging solutions from handpicked exhibitors. These 350 exhibitors were chosen to represent the best of the world of luxury packaging.
The show company especially valued innovation when choosing exhibitors. For example, a new exhibitor D-Carte offers a patented video screen system. It uses an extra-thin LCD screen that can be integrated directly in packaging.
Sustainability proved to be a strong draw in the event’s conference program. “Sustainable trends, desirable development” was sold out. The session offered varied, relevant points of view on the subject of sustainable development and its implementation on a day-today basis. Director of sustainable development from the Rémy Cointreau Group, Christian Lafage, spoke on the subject of integrating corporate social responsibility into businesses, aiming to “do our jobs in a responsible manner.” Beyond the importance of the involvement of General Management, he emphasized the importance of information, training and awareness for employees of all levels.
The next edition of Luxe Pack Monaco will be at the Grimaldi Forum, October 24-26, 2012.
