From package design to end of life, Sonoco is shrinking its own environmental footprint and helping its customers do the same. Its efforts have earned it a listing on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the second consecutive year, and it was named to Newsweek’s 100 Greenest Companies in 2009. Top management sees its sustainability accomplishments as building value for customers, shareholders and employees.
As a multi-billion dollar global manufacturer and provider of packaging services, Sonoco is also one of the world’s largest recyclers. Headquartered in Hartsville, SC, it has more than 300 operations in 35 countries, produces packaging for a variety of industries and many of the world’s most recognized brands, and serves customers in 85 nations.
