After years of high-profile brand movements from glass to plastic, the editors at Package Design are seeing growing numbers of package design projects that are moving to glass. We wanted to know more about what’s driving this growth. So, we sat down with Raul Paredes, manager of new product development, and Miguel Yanez, marketing director for North America, from glass packaging behemoth Owens-Illinois. They shared their insights on the new forms, functional features, and manufacturing efficiencies for glass packaging, and how these are translating into new package design trends.
