    When owner and president Gene Pierce founded Glenora in 1977, he used a label image that evokes the Finger Lakes District of upstate New York – the Glenora Falls that cascade into Seneca Lake near his winery in Dundee, Yates County. Now, some three decades later, he’s revamping his labels with the falls and other images that suggest the area. Their new shimmering look is made possible by the technical prowess of the prepress team and their HP Indigo press at Logotech Inc., Fairfield, NJ.

As a company offering nutritional, dietary, and herbal supplements—some 600 different products—it was vital to the health of their business to get the right look and feel. Toucans, iguanas, and hedgehogs are among the extensive list of exotic companion pets that enjoy the fine cuisine. The Young Again brand of products, which consists solely of natural ingredients, also includes dog and cat food. Because quality is its primary concern in food, packaging, and customer service, the company switched all of its label printing to digital on the HP Indigo WS6000 at Lofton Label in Minneapolis, MN.

    Digital Printing Untangles a Shampoo Snarl for L’Oreal

    It is one thing to promise no tangles, but to give the shampoos from L’Oréal Kids a true “must have” appeal, the company redesigned its labeling in North America. Partnering with Hollywood, L’Oréal produced limited edition, shrink wrapped bottles with themes tied to newly released children’s movies. The only snarls in the project were color and quality.

    Digital Executes High-End Design for Line of Nutritional Supplements

    When Bullwater Health and Fitness, Hoboken, NJ, wanted a high-end look for its Pomology line of nutritional products, the company turned to the design firm Selikoff+Company in New York City and eventually to Dion Label Printing in Westfield, MA, to execute the label for its top-selling anti-aging formula. Produced on an HP Indigo WS6000, the label was named the winner in the nutraceutical category in the Fourth Annual HP Indigo Digital Labels & Packaging Awards Contest at Labelexpo Americas 2010.

    When Bountiful, a small organic farm in California's Sierra Foothills, was looking for a label that would communicate its environmental consciousness, they contacted CMB Design in Folsom, CA.
