Spotlight: Health & Beauty Rexam began supplying in October a super-low-profile pump and collar for Victorias Secret newest fragrance launch, Breathless. The pump, which features Rexams patented Crimpless System, will deliver the new EDP scent in 15-, 30-, and 75-ml bottles, as well as in a 7.5-ml spray sampler that replicates the retail package. Providing reliable components that complement, as well as enhance, the overall aesthetics of a package is a trademark of our ability to combine advanced technology with imaginative design, says Jeff Speirs, account manager for Rexam Dispensing Systems. The Crimpless System also makes the assembly process easier and more efficient, thus adding to productivity. Decorative Collar
Decorating the anodized pump collar with the name of the product has been a real trend this season, states Rexam vice president of sales and marketing Dennis Desrochers. We use automated, high-speed screen-printing equipment for the collars. We have found that this is a very cost-effective way to add the product name to the primary package. The pump and collar for the retail-size package are manufactured at Rexams plant in Thomaston, Conn. The spray sampler utilizes another Rexam pump model, the SP5Ki Invisible pump with Snap-In System, and is produced at Rexams Le Tréport facility in France. This miniature pump does not overpower the package, and is ideal for small-size replicas where line image is important, notes Desrochers. Complementary design For Nautica, Rexam is producing stylish metal pumps for the new Competition EDT spray for men, a Unilever Cosmetics International (UCI) fragrance that comes in 75- and 100-ml sizes. These low-profile TNP pumps, which also feature Rexams Crimpless System, are finished in a matte black color that matches the bottles distinctive cap, while complementing the packages overall modern, contemporary look.
Reliable performance and elegant design go hand-in-hand with Rexam pumps, says Shannon Payne, UCI account manager for Rexam Dispensing Systems. Our proven technology and our ability to enhance modern, stylish packages help guarantee complete customer satisfaction with every use.
