Luxe Pack To Parlay New York Momentum into Grimaldi Forum
For the 17th Luxe Pack Monaco
Luxe Pack now has three shows every year—Sao Paulo, New York, and Monaco—but
the Monaco show is still the premier expo on the globe for luxury goods packaging.
This year's Luxe Pack Monaco is once again at Monaco's Grimaldi
Forum, and runs from Wednesday to Saturday, October 20-23, 2004.
Founded in 1988, Luxe Pack Monaco is an annual expo created specifically for
professionals in luxury product packaging, and devoted mostly to fragrances/cosmetics,
jewelry/watches, agri-business, wines and spirits, tobacco products, and tableware
packaging. The event has become the international benchmark in this market
sector, offering diversity and quality in its exhibitors and visitors. The
Monaco expo has grown to more than 320 exhibitors, and attracts nearly 5000
visitors each year.
Luxe Pack is a selective forum for the luxury goods industry showcasing leading
packaging and raw materials manufacturers as well as seminars designed to attract
key marketers, distributors, and decision makers. Exhibits from the industry's
most creative luxury packaging manufacturers draw an eager attendance at Luxe
Pack. Producers of glass, labels, leather, metal, paper, plastic, pumps, raw
materials, samples, textiles, and wood showcase their newest developments.
Exhibitors also include companies that specialize in decoration/finishes, design
engineering, design, P.O.P./direct mail—and more.
Yasmin Siddiqi, market development manager - DuPont Cosmetic Solutions appreciates
the focused audience at Luxe Pack. "The opportunity of Luxe Pack provided
DuPont Cosmetic Solutions to demonstrate the broad array of technologies that
bring innovation solutions to the industry," Siddiqi says. "It
also enabled DuPont to network with new and existing value chain partners and
identify exciting collaboration opportunities."
In addition, the Monaco Luxe Pack Design Award Final will be held on Friday,
Oct. 22. This year, the Award will go to one of eight international finalists
that will be on display at the Monaco show. The theme of this year's
award is "Modernity in Monaco," and the project is to redesign
a powder compact with mirror and applicator, matching lipstick, and the associated
retail packaging.
Luxe Pack New York draws big hitters
The parent company of Luxe Pack Monaco is Idice Monaco, which also now offers
Luxe Pack Sao Paulo (Brazil) in March of each year and Luxe Pack New York
in June. In only two days of exhibitions and seminars, the second annual
Luxe Pack New York attracted 1185 visitors to the Metropolitan Pavilion,
which was outfitted with exhibits from 50 leading manufacturers of glass,
plastic, metal, paper, and other luxury packaging.
As
intended, Luxe Pack New York attracted the industry's decision makers.
The show attendees included high-level packaging designers and buyers as well
as purchasing executives from leading U.S. and Canadian companies.

Seminars on current trends are a big part of Luxe Pack shows, and the main
seminar at a Luxe Pack usually features a panel discussion among some of the
industry's most respected professionals. The seminar "Neo-Luxury
Packaging…The Emotional Connection" was a great success at this
