Luxe Pack Preview
Luxe Pack New York kicks off the Luxe year with two days (May 17 and 18) at New York's Metropolitan Pavilion. Show organizers will present a variety of packaging innovations and a variety of show content, highlighted by the "What's New?" panel discussion moderated by Marc Rosen.
"After three solid years, our goal is to take Luxe Pack New York to the next level with the fourth edition of the show," said Nathalie Grosdidier, general manager, Luxe Pack. "Our plan includes increasing the number of manufacturers exhibiting at the show and adding more and compelling content, through seminars, special presentations, and interesting displays, all designed to appeal to buyers of luxury packaging."
Special Exhibits at the show include a Chad Lavigne Mural, FiFi Award Nominees and Winners Display, and the CPC Packaging Magazine's Editors' Choice Award Winners.
Award-winning packaging and graphic designer Lavigne, known for creating the looks of best-selling fragrance lines from DKNY, Marc Jacobs, Kenneth Cole, Sarah Jessica Parker, and others, will present a one-of-a-kind art installation created especially for Luxe Pack of components found in the beauty packaging world.
The night before the Luxe Pack New York show opens, Covergirl spokesmodel Molly Sims will host the Pratt Institute Luxe Pack "Art of Packaging Award" dinner at New York's University Club. The 2006 Award honors Procter & Gamble Beauty, and will be accepted by Marc S. Pritchard, president, global cosmetics and hair colorants at P&G. The black-tie dinner gala benefits The "Marc Rosen Scholarship For Graduate Package Design."
At the event, bottles and packaging designed by the winning students will be on display. P&G Beauty was selected as the 2006 honoree as a result of its longstanding commitment to delighting consumers through innovation and integrating holistic product design.
