Sleever Produces Ideal Labels For Cadbury's New Gum

Sleever International, the leading provider of sleeving solutions globally, has provided the labeling answer for a new Cadbury product which is set to revolutionize the chewing gum market. Cadbury France's Hollywood has been introduced in an innovative new spherical pack which will contain 70 pieces of chewing gum.

Fabien Guyot, packaging development and v.o. manager at Cadbury-Schweppes EMEA S&T Gum and Mints Division, says the pack hopes to introduce new gum consumption habits. "Rather than carry the pack with them, people will leave one at home, in the office, or in the car, creating points in their daily routine at which they can enjoy the pleasure of chewing gum."

"We chose Sleever International because of its reputation in the market for sleeves and sleeving equipment," he says. "Sleever International's own studio was able to guarantee that the design could be carried over from the flat drawings to the spherical pack without any distortion or loss of detail," he says.

Eric Masson, Sleever International's European sales director, says they had to overcome several technical challenges. "We chose our advanced SI-OPS-TF / 060 sleeving film with its excellent anti-tear properties to ensure the greatest possible safety for the product," says Masson. "The film can be shrunk onto the pack using an ultra-violet system, rather than steam, which ensures that there is no chance whatsoever of any damage to the product during the packaging process."

Evian Designs Luxury Palace Bottle for Select Restaurants

Evian Natural Spring Water released a new luxury Palace Bottle this month. Designed specifically for fine dining experiences, the Palace Bottle embodies the premium water's ability to provide consumers with an elite hydration experience. The new design will be featured in select hotels, restaurants, and clubs throughout the country.

"We designed the Palace Bottle to be an iconic and modern representation of Evian, with strong visual cues to our unique origin in the French Alps," said Caroline Kibler, brand manager of Evian North America. "We have also designed a unique pouring instrument, the Palace pourer. It is the first of its kind for bottled water, and delivering on both form and function, provides a luxury water experience."

Bottled since 1826, Evian Natural Spring Water is the world's leading brand of bottled water. Today, Evian is a brand of Danone Group, a leader in the food industry and number one by volume in the world for packaged water and dairy products.

The new Palace Bottle's silhouette is sleek and contemporary, a smooth cylinder rising from a rendering of the magnificent French Alps. Clean lines and a crisp logo showcase the purity of the water itself. With the bottle's stylish accessories, Evian becomes a unique fine dining drinking experience. The Palace pourer creates a poised, graceful gesture reminiscent of the water's 15-year journey from the top of the French Alps to the glass.
