Pack Expo Las Vegas to Focus
On Future of Packaging Design

PMMI and xpedx will co-present an interactive Design for Profit Pavilion during Pack Expo Las Vegas, running from October 15-17 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. This first mutual effort between PMMI and xpedx and will focus on the methods used to propel package design from idea through implementation.

The Design for Profit Pavilion will demonstrate how successful packaging designs incorporate a variety of materials and support a cross section of industry sectors and consumer needs. Pack Expo Las Vegas attracts a diverse packaging audience from across all market segments and, as such, the displays to be selected will have wide-ranging applicability.

"PMMI and xpedx are working together to unmask the mystery of packaging design by showing the before, during and after transformations that occur," notes Charles D. Yuska, president and CEO of PMMI. "Attendees will see firsthand package designs that support current market trends including sustainability, convenience packaging, and single-source formats."

The Design for Profit Pavilion will be located close to The Showcase of Packaging Innovationsª display, both found in the show's Containers & Materials Pavilion. The Showcase of Packaging Innovations is a display of the world's most innovative and award-winning package designs, as presented by internationally known packaging associations.

The Containers & Materials Pavilion will highlight the latest in paperboard, glass, metal, plastic, and flexible packaging. In this one area of the show floor, attendees will have access to the largest selection of containers and materials solutions in the Western Hemisphere, the most innovative package designs that are currently on the market worldwide, as well as the new design center.
